The final evening of the four-week introductory programme saw our new shooters continuing to improve. Top shot off the rest was Ewan Mirza with 91.0 while Alisa Elshout was one point behind with 90.3.

Jack Day's 92.2 led D grade this week while Jaz Hamilton scored highest in C grade with 91.1. Top honours for B grade were hotly contested but Ross Little came out on top with 98.2, followed by Stephen Thessman's 97.3. In the higher grades, Erin Little's 99.4 beat Meredith Ackrill's 98.5 by a point.

After a few weeks practice, shooters have begun taking on 20 shots again. Evan Little's 198.12 was the highest this week, closely followed by Erin Little with 197.6.
Past member of the club Jialin Sae-Jiw has recently graduated with first class honours from the University of Cambridge UK with a MBE Master of Bioscience Enterprise. While studying, she was selected to represent the University in the Varsity Smallbore Rifle team which came out as undefeated champions. We love to hear what our former members are up to, especially their continued shooting achievements.
The deadline for Teams of Ten nominations is coming up (Friday 9 April). This is one of the biggest North Island shooting events of the year and is a great opportunity to experience a larger part of the shooting community. There are three trials held in April and May, each comprising two 20 shot targets. As the trials are on Sunday afternoons, these cards can be nominated as club competitions.
