It was another busy week at the club last night.  Thanks to everyone who pitched in to help run a smooth club night.
Club Shooting
In D Grade this week, Jack Day's 92.2 took top honours ahead of Josh Whitehead's 92.1. Jaz Hamilton's 97.3 was the top score in C Grade. Cassie Truscott led B Grade with 98.4 followed by Dianne Grain and Stephen Thessman, both with 97.3. Erin Little was top of the higher grades with 99.7 followed by Bex Baines' 99.4. In the 20 shots, David Grain scored 197.11 with Bex Baines only an inner behind on 197.10.
Round 2 of the interclub competition was shot on Tuesday evening. The Brooklyn C Grade team was on form, beating Melrose by 14 points. Top shot was Jack Day with 96.2. It was a much closer competition in the Open Grade but unfortunately the Brooklyn team lost by 2 points to Melrose. Top shot was Erin Little with 196.13. Round 3 will be hosted by Brooklyn on Sunday 13 June.
Next weekend:
With the long weekend for Queen’s Birthday next weekend, quite a few members will be away.  The club will still be open for members only - thanks to those senior members who will be there for making this happen.
Entries in the Closed Champs Round 2 must be completed by Sunday 6 June.  Contact Inge if you are unsure if you have completed your card.
Hutt Valley Open
The Hutt Valley Open Championship is on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 June at the Petone Range (see attached flyer). Open Championships are a great way to get experience in competition shooting and meet the wider shooting community. They are open to TSNZ affiliated members who are shooting in the sling and jacket. The competition consists of three 10 shot targets. If you would like to attend this Open, please advise Craig and Stephen by Sunday 6 June so that gear and coaching can be arranged.
