Club Shooting
Analin Rudd led D Grade with an excellent D Grade score of 95.3, Ewan Mirza followed with another excellent D Grade score of 94.2. Our newest members are putting in some great effort and their scores are reflecting that. Jaz Hamilton's 98.4 was the top score in C Grade, followed closely by Jack Day's 97.4. Several of our B graders shot 97 this week; Cassie Truscott and Dianne Grain both getting 97.6 and Mark Riley 97.2. Megan Brodie had a great night shooting (100.9 for her estimated Closed Champ score, 100.6 and 98.8 for her club cards). Meredith Ackrill's 99.6 was the next highest 10 shot for the night. Top honours for the 20 shots this week went to Megan with 198.11.

Training
Thanks to Mark Robinson for running our 'Junior Training Session' and many thanks to Cassie for being our scribe. A reminder of your homework - get yourself a notebook just for shooting and write into it the shooting steps which Cassie wrote up on the board (photo below).  Mark says "your homework will be checked next week!” - so bring your notebook to shooting.

Next Week
Sunday 11 July is the start of the 3rd series in the Club Competition.

School students: Round 2 targets for the Triple S Champs need to be shot by Sunday 11 July.

Wellington Open - 16 & 17 July
Wellington Smallbore Rifle Association (WSRA) is hosting the Wellington Open Championship competition on 16 and 17 July.  All BSRC members are encouraged to participate in the competition, regardless of grade or experience.  This is a great opportunity for those new to shooting to have a go at a competition on our home range.

Junior members are encouraged to come along on Saturday morning to participate in shooting, as our coaches will be there to assist you.

You will have seen the email on Sunday requesting assistance in helping run the event. If you are not sure how you can help but would be available between either 10am to 11:15am or 11:15am to 12:30pm, then let the Club Captain know and an appropriate job can be assigned to you.

Marking Course - Reminder
The Wellington Association is running a marking course at 10am on Sunday 25 July. This course is free for association members. See the marking course poster for more details, and register by emailing Bev Newton.
