Four club members recorded new PBs yesterday: Anna 96.4, Amy Nathanson 90.2, Ethan Haigh 88.0 and Emily Lockery 85.0 – well done!  It was great to see new shooters Chris Lockery and Anna shooting their first 20-shot card this week, and both scoring extremely well (186.4 and 189.9 respectively).  Squad 5 of the afternoon session from now on will be a combined 10- and 20-shot squad so if you’re up to date with your 10-shot cards and/or you want to challenge yourself a bit further, give a 20-shot card a go.  A club trophy is awarded to the B, C or D Grader scoring the best 15 20-shot cards from the 25-week competition, so the more 20-shot cards shot, the better your chances of winning this trophy.

David Grain shot the best 20-shot score this week of 195.10, followed by Craig Fair on 194.7.  Only an inner separated Evan Little 99.4 from David Grain 99.3 in A Grade, while Craig Fair 96.4 scored three inners better than Mark Riley 96.1 in B Grade.  Oscar Robinson was top shot in C Grade with 98.5 followed by Luisa Kristen on 96.3.  The best five D Graders this week were Anna 96.5, Casey Israelson 95.3, Yiannis Fam 92.3, Qiyun Goh 92.3, and Chris Lockery 92.2.

The Interassociation Open Grade match was shot on Wednesday night.  The #1 team scored slightly lower than last year while the #2 team achieved exactly the same score as in 2016.  Top shot overall was Pratik Tailor with 198.14.

Craig Fair shot at the Awahuri Open Champs on Saturday, scoring a very good 290.8 to be placed 4th in B Grade.

Nominations are sought to fill the vacant position on the WSRA Executive.  Meetings are held approximately every six weeks on Friday evenings at the Royal Tiger Range starting at 7.30pm.

A reminder that Round 2 closed champs targets need to be shot by next Sunday, as well as Round 1 Triple SSS champs (secondary schools) by next Sunday.  The following Sunday (18 June) we are hosting Round 3 of the interclub competition in the evening.  Teams will be named next Monday.
