It was a busy night at the club with Teams of Ten trials in the afternoon and a large group of visitors in the evening. Many thanks to everyone who helped out.

Congratulations to Cassie Truscott for a new 20 shot PB of 193.9 and to Finn Ashby for a new 10 shot PB of 98.4.

Best off the rest this week was Ewan Mirza with 92.1. D grade was led by Jack Day's 94.3, followed by father-daughter duo Graham and Wynter Tickle both scoring 93.1. Finn Ashby and Jaz Hamilton continue to battle it out in C grade, scoring 98.4 and 97.5 respectively. Ross Little's 98.3 led B grade. In the higher grades, Bex Baines' 100.7 beat Meredith Ackrill's 99.8 by a point. Meredith closed the gap in the 20 shot competition with a 198.9 but Bex led on inners with a 198.12.
Open Championships are a great way to get experience in competition shooting and meet the wider shooting community. These individual competitions are held most weekends at ranges around the North Island. They are open to TSNZ affiliated members who are shooting in the sling and jacket. If you are using club equipment and would like to attend one, ask around the licenced members of the club to see if anyone is going who could transport your gear for you.
