It was a quiet session on Sunday with many away enjoying the long weekend.  That made for a relaxed and efficient time for everyone who did attend.  Everyone shot shoulder-to-shoulder on Sunday, and we will continue with this format.

During club chat we discussed the value of breathing out and holding for 2-3 seconds before taking the shot.  This ensures that there is no further movement before you take the shot.  And of course hold after taking the shot for 2-3 seconds to see where the rifle has settled, which is an indicator of where your shot actually went.

When going to shoot SSS or Closed Champ targets, please check you are taking the correct target - your named target for the right competition.

Thanks to Alex, Georgie and Eleanor for putting their jackets away in the cupboard.  This helps when packing up at the end of the night.

Congratulations for excellent club night shooting to:

  • Harrison for shooting a PB of 90.1
  • Alex, Eli and Leo, who were on fire on Sunday, all shooting 97’s, and Eli also shooting a PB this year of 98.6
