Next week will be a busy day for club shooting. Welcome to our five new members, Ben Dunning, Chris Dunning, Analin Rudd, Kate Yu and Jemima Jackson, who will be fitted into jacket and sling at 4.30pm.  At 6:00pm four new Marsden students and two adults will start a four week introductory programme.

Club night begins for members at 6:30pm as usual.  With the six visitors, the club rifles will be in demand, being shared between new and experienced shooters. Please be prepared to be flexible, and read the notice board when you arrive to see how this will affect you.  Please also be prepared to pitch in and help with preparing, hanging, retrieving or marking targets.

Teams of Ten
The Teams of Ten, one of the biggest shoots of the year, was held in Palmerston North over the weekend. This year Wellington entered two teams, the #1 team shooting for Rees Scroll and the #2 team for the Jim Hart Trophy. 11 Brooklyn members took part in the matches. The Jim Hart Trophy was extremely close, with Wellington coming second by only a point to Hutt Valley. Cassie Truscott was top shot from Brooklyn in the Wellington #2 team with a 384.13. The Wellington #1 team came 4th in the Rees Scroll, one placing higher than in 2019.

Meredith Ackrill was top shot overall for Wellington. Her score of 396.25 placed her 4th out of all shooters who attended the match - congratulations!   Well done to Cassie and Stephen Thessman, who participated in this competition for the first time, and thanks to Craig Fair for managing the Wellington #2 Team.
