It has been a very busy couple of weeks of shooting.  We are nearing the end of the shooting season, but please keep an eye on the upcoming events as there’s still lots on.

Welcome to Bruce, who visited a few weeks ago and is now coming along regularly.  Welcome also to Nate’s father David, who is trying out target shooting.  Great to have you both!

Club shooting

Congratulations to Ryan for shooting a new PB of 95.3 last week, and to Kaitlyn for shooting a new PB of 97.4 this week.

Senior members continue to hotly contest the 20-shot competition: this week Ross shot 199.16, closely followed by Mark B, Stephen and Bex all with 198s.

There’s only three more weeks of club shooting!  4 October is the last opportunity to complete club competition cards.  We’ll also look to organisation some fun shoots for everyone.

Inter-Schools Competition, 4-6 September

Congratulations to Alex, Eli, Ethan, Filly, Kaitlyn and Zahra for representing their schools last weekend at this match against schools’ teams from across New Zealand.  Wellington College placed 19th and Samuel Marsden placed 21st out of 33 schools.

Candyman Cup

As winners of the North Island Teams of Ten competition this year, Wellington Association is competing against Christchurch Association, winners of the equivalent South Island competition (Andrewsand Faulkner competition) on Tuesday 15 September.  Good shooting to Bex, Mark, Meredith, Ross, Stephen, David and Evan.

  • Sunday 18 October: Brooklyn visitor session - to be confirmed
